Dressage Day 1

The first day of competition in Rio kicked off with some serious scores from the world’s best rides, but ultimately Great Britain’s shining star William Fox-Pitt and the talented stallion Chilli Morning led the field with a 37.0. To add a bit of drama to the atmosphere, a stray bullet was found in the equestrian media center, though thankfully, no one was hurt.

Dressage Day 2

The top of the leaderboard held steady through the second day, with the scores remaining relatively unchanged. The U.S. team posted some solid scores to claim the sixth place team position heading into cross-country day. And speaking of cross-country, find out what the riders thought about the challenging course.

Cross-Country

Cross-country day proved as dramatic as everyone anticipated, with some of the world’s best riders finding trouble. Sadly, the U.S. team didn’t have the outing they’d hoped, though team riders Phillip Dutton and Boyd Martin churned out solid rounds for a chance at individual medals. Read on to hear out the inside buzz on all the action!
