Some of you may have read about the herd of horses that were trapped on a small piece of land for three days following a storm in the Netherlands a couple of months ago. The water kept rising. Around nineteen horses died and around one hundred others were in danger of drowning. The Dutch fire department and then army was having trouble rescuing them.

A friend just forwarded me a link to a video of the rescue, which though low quality, is pretty remarkable. Four women on horseback led the efforts. Just thought that I would share.
