The International Bromont is part of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League. Now in its second year, the league consists of seven East and seven West Coast venues in three countries – the United States, Mexico and Canada. Each venue will host qualifiers to determine the North American riders who will compete in the 2017 Longines World Cup™ Jumping Final in Omaha, Nebraska, March 27–April 4, 2017.

A minimum of $2.4 million in prize money is up for grabs across the North American League series. Follow the action before, during and after each qualifier with #FEIWorldCupNAL.

Canada Will be Well Represented

Seven Canadian riders have declared themselves for the FEI events this week, including veteran rider Mac Cone, who received the silver medal for Team Canada at the 2008 Olympic Games. Canada will also count on Mélissandre Lincourt who, in 2015, had the best performance for a Canadian athlete at the qualifying event for the World Cup CSI3*. Riders Laurie Bucci, Susan Horn, Keean White and Muhammad Itani will also participate in this week’s events.

U.S. Delegation is One to Watch

American riders will also need to be watched this week, as experienced and young talented riders will be here. Leslie Howard, Todd Minikus, Peter Leone, Charlie Jacobs, Christine McCrea and Jonathan McCrea will join Andrew Ramsay, Alison Robitaille, Lauren Tisbo, Andrew Welles, Callan Solem, Ali Wolff, Andrew Kocher and Lucy Deslauriers, who won the Québec Orignial Grand Prix on Sunday, July 24, during the first week of the International Bromont.

Four Other Countries Represented

Colombia, Mexico, Ireland and Russia will also be amongst the participating countries, with riders Juan Manuel Gallego (COL), Carlos Ramirez (COL), Claudia Ballesteros (MEX), Fernando Martinez Sommer (MEX), Richie Moloney (IRL) and Liubov Kochetova (RUS).

Events Start Wednesday

The second week of the International Bromont will start on Wednesday July 27th, where the first leg of the East Coast Longines FEI World Cup Jumping North American League will take place.
