Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event Seeking Donations to Hold 2021 CCI*****-L

LRK3DE hoping to raise $750,000 by Feb. 7 to be able to run the CCI*****-L this year.

After organizers for the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI*****-L announced the cancellation of the 2021 CCI*****-L earlier this week, a fundraising effort has been launched to try to save it.

According to the LRK3DE web site, “In order to change course and run the LRK3DE 5*-L in 2021, financial support and donations are needed NOW! $750,000 must be raised by 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 7!

“You have supported and sustained Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI) since 1978. The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event is loved by many. Without spectators, the financial requirements to host the CCI 5*-L are too great for our organization after a year without income,” the web site states.

The funds will not cover all expenses but will provide EEI “with enough resources to begin making plans for the 5*-L at the ‘Best Weekend All Year!’”

The web site says people who donate will be recognized by EEI in some fashion and that those donating in excess of $500 will be provided an early ticket-purchase opportunity for the 2022 event.
