Beat the Heat with the Terrain Helmet by Troxel®

The Terrain Helmet by Troxel® is stylish and comfortable with the highest safety ratings. It's a great choice for summer riding. Learn why.

Sizzling summer heat makes for steamy rides. Many products are on the market that can help you stay cool during your rides, but the design of the Terrain Helmet by Troxel® helps you beat the heat.

What’s in the design?

More than two years of research and development went into engineering the Terrain to create the most ventilated helmet in the equine industry. The 12 extra-large vents are strategically placed to deliver unmatched airflow. The design of this helmet helps keep you cool and comfortable when temperatures start to rise.

The Terrain also utilizes a cooling and moisture-wicking Coolcore headliner that moves moisture and sweat away from your body while dissipating heat. The liner is chemical-free and machine washable. The cooling technology is built right into the weave of the fabric so it never washes out! Additionally, the liner is treated with FUZE biotechnology for permanent, chemical-free, anti-odor performance. FUZE sustainably enhances fabric with even greater cooling power and odor control that lasts the lifetime of the liner.

Safety first!

Along with its unparalleled ventilation and cooling ability, the Terrain takes safety and comfort to the next level with innovative features you’ll love. The low profile design features a polycarbonate shell co-molded to the impact-absorbing EPS liner. It’s the perfect combination of lightweight performance and strength.

The newly-developed reinforced front cage adds an extra level of impact resistance, while Troxel’s FlexVisor™ is replaceable and shatterproof. Molded from a flexible polymer, the FlexVisor won’t shatter into sharp pieces. This reduces the possibility of cuts and scrapes in the event of a fall. The latest generation, micro-adjustable DialFit™ System features a soft-touch dial that permits quick and precise helmet adjustment for personalized comfort.

Finally, you can adjust the removable and washable FlipFold™ headliner by folding over the integrated tabs. This provides adjustment to the helmet’s width to accommodate different head shapes and hairstyles. The Terrain was built with your comfort and safety in mind. You can feel confident while on the trail or at the show.

How should I care for my Terrain Helmet by Troxel®?

One of the most important things to remember throughout the summer is to protect your helmet from extreme temperatures. That means don’t store it in the trunk of your car or in direct sunlight! Make sure to store your helmet out of the sun in a tote or carrying bag that allows ventilation so it can dry between uses.

Extreme temperatures can cause unseen material deterioration and affect the performance and safety of your helmet. Due to evolving helmet standards, technologies and the potential for deterioration, experts recommend that you replace your helmet at least every five years. However, immediately replace any helmet involved in an accident.
