The 2022 MARS Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill presented by Brown Advisory welcomed riders on Wednesday at the first horse inspection. Of the 25 horses that jogged for the CCI5*-L, 24 were accepted, with the exception of Liz Halliday-Sharp’s Deniro Z. Her second five-star mount, Cooley Quicksilver, was accepted.
Tim Price (NZL), who currently holds the #1 spot on the FEI Eventing World Athlete Rankings, and his mount Coup de Cœur Dudevin, were among the accepted at the horse inspection. World #3 Oliver Townend and As Is, #5 Will Coleman and DonDante, and #10 Lauren Nicholson and Landmark’s Monte Carlo all got the green light from the ground jury as well.

Competition kicks off tomorrow, October 13, at 2:00 p.m. EST with day one of dressage in the Main Arena at the Fair Hill Special Event Zone.
The Maryland 5 Star will be broadcast on Maryland Public Television, ESPN3 and USEF Network in North America, and on Horse & Country TV outside North America.
