Practical Horseman strives every month to giveour readers a riding lesson in print,” said Editor Sandra Oliynyk. “This contest allows us to offer an in-person lesson with two top riders and trainers. Jim and Sharon are longtime friends of the magazine, and they are successful, classically trained riders with a tremendous amount of knowledge. We’re excited to give a lucky winner this once-in-a-lifetime experience riding with them.”

He’s a well-accomplished rider, having won numerous team medals, and has since retired from professional riding and now serves as a top trainer to many four-star riders and travels the United States as a popular clinician. Jim has also published numerous books and articles on the sport and is a monthly contributor to Practical Horseman.
