Safe Sport Requirement Reminder for 2019 USEF Competing Membership Holders

All adults participating in USEF rated shows in 2019 must complete the Safe Sport Course Requirements.

Wellington, FL – October 17 , 2018 – As the 2019 show season approaches, organizers would like to encourage everyone who will be participating in the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) rated shows to complete the Safe Sport Course Requirements of membership online prior to the beginning of the 2019 WEF circuit.
Effective January 1, 2019, all adults (18 years of age or older) with a Competing Membership must complete the USEF’s Safe Sport Training in order to participate at USEF competitions. Safe Sport is a simple, easy, and important step to take in effort to maintain the safety of our sport.

Anyone who does not fulfill the requirement will not be allowed to show until the Safe Sport training has been completed. Any new members joining after January 1, 2019, will have a 30 day grace period to do the training. To complete this training go to www.usef.org

Safe Sport enforces the well being and safety of all equestrian sport participants, with the goal of eliminating any form of emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct. Safe Sport also provides helplines, people to talk to, and much more.
