The show jumping ace explains the roles that mental strength and self-discipline play in her career. Her attitude and drive, coupled with the help of her top mount, Cristalline, have propelled Adrienne into the equestrian limelight. The successful 27-year-old has represented the United States on some of the biggest stages, including the 2018 World Equestrian Games and several Nations Cups. How does she do it you might ask?—by aligning her words with her actions. You’ll hear Adrienne talk about just how she does that in her everyday life, plus, you’ll get to know more about her best friend and mount Cristalline, aka Stella.

About Adrienne

Adrienne Sternlicht began her riding career at a young age and made her way successfully through the pony divisions. Come time for high school, Adrienne scaled back to focus on her studies, but while working on her bachelor’s degree in public policy at Brown University, she returned to show jumping. In 2016, Adrienne began training full-time with Olympian McLain Ward and purchased her beloved mare, Cristalline. As she rose up the ranks, Adrienne represented the U.S. in Nations Cups and collected numerous individual top placings. In 2018, she and Cristalline helped the U.S. team to a gold medal at the World Equestrian Games for the U.S. for the first time in 36 years. Since then, Adrienne has continued to produce top international results aboard Cristalline, Benny’s Legacy and Just a Gamble, and was named to the show jumping short list for the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games. Adrienne is currently pursuing her master’s degree in human rights studies at Columbia University while she continues to compete at the international level.
