June 22, 2011 -- Practical Horseman Magazine will present an "Ask the Hunter Judges" seminar at the Atlanta Summer Classic II horse show on Thursday June 23, 2011 with judges Scott Fitton and Betty Oare.

June 22, 2011 — Practical Horseman magazine will present an “Ask the Hunter Judges” seminar during the Atlanta Summer Classic II horse show at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Thursday, June 23, from 5:30-7 p.m. The featured judges are Scott Fitton and Betty Oare.

Fitton is a US Equestrian Federation “R” hunter and hunt seat equitation judge, successful trainer and horseman out of Wellington, Florida. Oare received her “R” rating in the early 1970s and has judged many famous shows including Devon, Indoors and numerous circuits. She also competes in the Amateur-Owner Hunter division.

“It’s always a good thing when people have the chance to ask the questions they can’t during the show. The more information you can put out there, the clearer it is to the people who are watching and to the exhibitors,” said Oare, who lives in Warrenton, Virginia, with her husband Ernest. “It will be a joy to do this with Scott. We’ve judged together before, and we’re a combination that works well together.”

The seminar will be held in the Carriage Room. All are welcome whether competing or not, there is no charge to attend and refreshments will be provided.

Those unable to attend may still participate by posting their questions on Practical Horseman’s Facebook page. Visit www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=111702455587966 or by e-mailing practical.horseman@equinetwork.com.
