A Star-Studded Lineup Guaranteed for the $208,200 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington

Riders and horses are preparing for Sunday's $208,200 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington at Deeridge Farms

The CP Palm Beach Masters Winter Classic CSI4*-W presented by Suncast® began on Wednesday afternoon with the FEI Horse Inspection. A star-studded lineup of Olympic veterans and FEI World Cup Champions will compete in the first event of the 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series with $1,000,000 at stake throughout the series.

At the end of the inspection, 74 horses from 12 nations were accepted for the four-day event taking place January 30 – February 3 at Deeridge Farms, the stunningly beautiful private farm owned by the Jacobs family.

“There is an air of excitement and we are honored to once again host this world-class event at our family’s facility,” said Lou Jacobs, series co-founder along with siblings Charlie Jacobs and Katie Robinson. “We look forward to a great weekend and a thrilling competition.”

Sunday’s culminating event, the $208,200 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington, is the penultimate east coast qualifier for the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Gothenburg, Sweden in April. It attracts the world’s best horses and riders.

Heading the roster is four-time Olympian and the reigning Longines FEI World Cup™ champion, Beezie Madden, who also won the World Cup in 2013. Her four-time Olympic teammate and the 2017 Longines FEI World Cup™ Champion, McLain Ward is also on the list as well as his gold medal teammates from the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG), Olympic veteran Laura Kraut, Adrienne Sternlicht and Devin Ryan. Individual WEG silver medalist Martin Fuchs (SUI) and three-time FEI World Cup champion and three-time Olympic veteran Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (GER) highlight just some of the other A-list competitors participating this weekend.

Competition kicks off on Thursday with the FEI $35,700 CP Welcome Stake,Friday’s agenda features the $71,200 Suncast® Palm Beach Masters Qualifier, the $71,200 Palm Beach Masters Classic tops Saturday’s agenda and the event culminates with the $208,200 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington on Sunday.

New for 2019, general admission and parking are free for all spectators. General admission seating in the grandstands is available on a first-come-first-serve basis for all events, including the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington, Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of the United States, and the Deeridge Derby.
