USA’s Boyd Martin and On Cue came from behind to capture the inaugural Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill’s CCI5*-L. He and the 15-year-old Anglo European mare entered the show-jumping phase in third place but leapfrogged to the top of the leaderboard after New Zealand’s Tim Price and Xavier Faer and Great Britain’s Oliver Townend and Cooley Master Class each had a rail down. Townend finished in second and Price finished in third.
In the CCI3*-L, Kurt Agardy Martin (USA) and D.A. Lifetime maintained their lead to win the competition. U.S. rider Hannah Sue Burnett and Carsonstown moved up two places to finish in second and Townend riding Ulises jumped four places from cross-country to finish in third place overall.
